Kalamos – Paou

The Kalamos-Paou Beach trail is a beautiful coastal route that ensures the connection between Kalamos and the newly developed settlement on Pau Beach.

Starting from Kalamos, the trail Kalamos-Pau Beach descends to the Marmaro beach. We cross the shoreline and immediately pass to the next cove, Belian beach. At the end of Belian beach, we go up on a concrete stairway and soon meet a small dirt road.

With an alternation of paths and small dirt roads we reach Pau bay. The last dirt road meets the end of the asphalt, which comes from Argalasti.

  • The vegetation along the route is a typical Mediterranean maquis (kermes oak, strawberry trees, turpentine trees, heather etc.), while from time to time we cross olive groves.

Warnings

  • All along the route there is a basic signage with the circular signs of the Friends of the Kalderimi of South Pelion and several Red Signs.
  • All sections on trails are fairly clean.
